Causality

It looked at me, with cold dead eyes, it sat there starring. I tried to look away, but I couldn't, my body wouldn't allow it, I was in a state of complete paralysis. The only thing that allowed me to move was the sudden vibrating of my phone as it lit up with a text message from my brother. I looked at it with awe as all it said was "don't move, don't go anywhere, stay in your room and keep looking out of your window, don't take your eyes off of it." I panicked and went to my door to see the hallway dark and empty, I slammed the door and struggled to lock it as I was trembling with fear, but finally I succeeded. As I came back though, it was gone, without a trace, no footsteps, nothing, where had it gone? I didn't care I still felt safe, as I was in my house and it was outside. All seemed calm for the moment, until the security system screeched "front door open." I felt my stomach drop, it was in the house, no one except me and whatever it was, no man, no animal, it had no soul, no heart, nothing, whatever it was......all it had was me trapped inside my own house....

I finally looked at my phone again, another text notification appeared, this time it read "I know it's inside the house. I called the police. Mom and dad can't find out about this, do not call or text them, we have to handle this on our own...." As I was about to ask him what this was all about, I heard the creaking of the stairs. My heart stopped, I instantly went stiff, I turned slowly around to look at the door and all I could hear was the steps of the creature with every creak as it seemed to claw its way up the stairs. Every step made my heart beat faster and faster, until it all stopped, I waited to see what would happen, but nothing happened, it was silent, so silent my ears started to ring. I ran to my closet to grab a old baseball bat to use for protection, but I didn't know if the fear inside would allow me to swing at the beast. I must have moved too fast and made too much noise, because next thing I knew it was coming to my room, scraping at the wall as it came closer and closer to me.....

It stopped and all I could hear was the creature taking deep slow breaths, it just sat there, until it spoke to me. It was nearly a growl as it said "you know what you two did, you caused this to happen." I screamed back "I didn't do anything, I don't know what you are, leave me alone!" All it said was "Fine then face your consequences" and it was gone. It was over, it was all over, I was safe, it was gone. I looked outside and it was gone, I swept my way through the house and found nothing. I felt like a weight was lifted from my chest, I thought everything was good, everything was fine now. Then my phone lit up with another text, It was my brother again..........and all it read was "what.......what did you do. they're gone......they're all gone....."

David Foster Wallace - This Is Water

I started to relate to the speech, when he mentions the examples of situations in the grocery store about people, about what I think about them, about what others think, I understood. I agree with him in the sense that we should not think that we are the center of the universe, that we are only person who matters, I see people yelling at people who work jobs I am sure they do not want to be at, not fulfilling the dreams they had. Overall there was not much that I disagreed with, it just opened my mind to thinking more, to really start to question things I see again, because the reality of it all is that I don't know, and people should not just think about themselves,and we need to be aware of the little things in life,

 My whole life I have had one goal in life, go to the University of Southern California, to get that letter in the mail, that says "USC takes great pleasure in informing you of your acceptance for the class if 2018." While I am attending the University of Southern California I have two majors in mind that I want to study, those being law and or sports journalism. While I am also there I want to take advantage of being able to go to one of the best cinema schools in the country and get a minor there.


I feel like for the most part I am ready for college, mostly when it comes to the academic side of it, I am definitely a little scared of the life aspect. I think that for most people the aspect of living on our own for the first time is what scares people the most, it's a big change for most people, while I am nervous I am not to worried about it. I think that now that I have seen this video I think I am going to think more while I am at college, and I believe that I will be more aware of others situations.


I think what excites me most about graduating from ASU Prep is that it's kind of the transition from childhood to adulthood, we go from living with out parents to living in a dorm with a bunch of strangers. I think the future of being at college is what excites me the most, meeting new people and being able to work toward and fulfilling my dreams. Now what scares me is the unknown, not knowing if I'll get there, just the whole unknown, but I never said that I wasn't up to the challenge.


I believe that I am ready to take care of myself in the "real world" I usually am pretty independent so I think I am ready to take on the challenges that it throws at me. To me the "real world" is the same as adulthood, it's about getting a job, living on your own, and being able to take care of yourself. This is what we all have to face, this is what we all have to take on, and I would by lying to you if I said that I wasn't nervous, but I'll have to face those roadblocks when I get there.

Pizza Noir

     "Why?  Why is it so cold? Why is my pizza so cold? You were just delivered......." those were the words i uttered as I took my first bite. That night, oh that night. It was a a stormy night, nothing in particular to worry about or so I thought. I had a number of cases left and I grew hungrier and hungrier with each passing file. Then I came across a unsolved file that answered my question, I knew it was perfect, like it was almost meant to be. Under suspects there was a number for a pizza parlor one of the suspects had worked at, I knew what I needed to do. I swiftly moved for the phone, making sure not to second guess my decision. I rang and ordered the usual a pepperoni mushroom. They said it would be in my hands in 20 minutes or less, that's when everything went downhill.

 
      I kept going through the case file as my stomach growled with every passing minute, I had wondered what this case had been about as I never questioned as to why he was a suspect. I kept reading, it had turned out that the boy who was only 17 at the time was the one who came across a crime scene too explicit to describe to any one who had humanity left in them. I had looked at my clock, ten minutes down, and ten to go. The case file became more and more gruesome but I didn't lose my appetite it grew for some reason, maybe that's what this job did to me. I guess after you have seen what I have stuff like this just goes over your head and you forget quickly. I looked again and it was time, but nothing, no ring for me, nothing I had waited and it never came, the ringing that could cure me of this unbearable feeling inside of me. I grew restless and went to check myself, it was there, laying on the steps of the precinct. I grabbed the box to examine its contents. Back to my desk I went only to realize that it was cold....... ice cold.

     I sat down and grabbed a slice, but something was off, it was stiff, the crust, the cheese, all of it. I didn't think of it at the time but I was so hungry I sunk my teeth into the slice only to feel the sensation of ice overrun my mouth. I stopped and looked in horror at what I had just done. I threw the slice back to the box and could only stare at the near frozen pizza. What did I do, it hadn't been that long? I just got the pizza? how could it be so cold? What I didn't even think to ask is where was the delivery boy? Why did he just leave it? Without me paying? It just didn't add up, no delivery boy, no payment, and a cold pizza? what did it all mean? To the day it remains a mystery, what really happened, why the pizza was cold, where the boy was, why I didn't have to pay, and the only thing that still haunts me to this day,why that pizza was so, so cold......

Chenzo's Weekend: Jan. 28 - Jan. 29

Welcome back people *Looks at Calendar on phone, it's only been.........two months...uhhhhhh aww man* It's a new year no new me, it's not gonna change either so don't be looking forward to anything new. So I'm not gonna post a lot either........deal with it. And let's all be honest here, do you really care what I write? In the immortal words of Marshawn Lynch "I'm just here so I won't get fined." Just joking, I actually do enjoy doing this it's..........relaxing. This isn't really going anywhere is it? Okay enough babbling let's get toooooooo it.

With the ending of the college football season we are left with the NFL. *looks up at banner that in a beautiful cardinal and gold colored font says "USC 2017 Rose Bowl Game Champions," sheds tear as I remember that glorious day* So the NFL is at the end of its playoffs and we are in an exciting time man, we have the two teams who will duel it out in Huston for the Lombardi trophy. We just had the Pro Bowl this Sunday that puts the best NFC conference players against the AFC conference players. *Okay lemme explain, so you got two conferences in football the AFC and the NFC, its like an east versus west type thing, but its complicated cause teams are in the NFC but are in western states, YA KNOW WHAT if ya wanna learn more just go read a book......the more you know....cue image*

 The game was really boring in all honesty with the AFC winning 20-13, BUT THAT'S BORING!!!!! Lets get into the juicy stuff son!!! Patriots v. Falcons or in other words David v. Goliath in a game with the Falcons playing the role of David and the Patriots being the Goliath here, this will be a must watch. A team with plenty of rings lead by a quarterback who some say is the best in history and just loves deflating balls on the sideline,(Tom Brady and the Patriots) going up against Mr. Matty Ice himself and his Falcons ready to let the ball fly. BE THERE OR BE SQUARE *get it cause you're not around.....YAKUM ON THEM ONE TIME* You could watch the game to watch the game or commercials - pick your poison, but it will be on at 4:30 PM (mountain standard) *if ya don't know what that is go read another book, theres no time to explain* on FOX.

Now you may be wondering, where the Seahawks at MY FAVORITE TEAM????? WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM?????? OKAY LOOK!!!!! *calm yourself Josh look at the banner look at the banner......ahhhhh another tear shed in joy* Okay so the Falcons decided "HEY SEAHAWKS ARE TRASH!!!!" and wanted to brush us aside........but fear not as theres always next year my fellow football fans........mostly you cardinal fans ugh....watch yourselves,  Seahawks form the northwest don't mess around. Anyways let me wrap this whole mess up, thanks guys for reading another one of my weird blog posts, but until next time...

Ain't No Thang: Studio Ghibli Part 1 of 3

*Jamming to Panic! at the Disco's "Death of a Bachelor" on headphones, tries to get up not realizing headphones are plugged in and pulls computer with me* SON OF A MONKEY'S UNCLE!!!!!!! REALLY JOSH REALL!!!! (angry at self) I'm lucky this thing still works ughhhhhh. okay time for this post.... no into lets get to it.

B-B-B-Back here again, thats right I put the stutters in there, even thought I don't stutter, but it's whatever. So look I'm asian but I don't watch anime.......*waits for people to be like "but you're asian?" * yeah okay I don't deal with it alright? alright? Okay but I certainly enjoy the studio Ghibli movies. and I think for the next..........two......three posts talking about my favorite movies, because they're so freaking good dude *imagines all of the great times watching these movies, grinch smile appears on face*

This film company has produced possibly the greatest animated movies outside of the U.S. and in my opinion certainly rivals Disney and Pixar for the top spot. So if you like anime or animated movies, definitely check out some movies by this company. Coming in at third of my favorite movies by this company would probably have to be a well known one of course, but it's name is that of "Spirited Away" *Lowkey fanboys inside because of the excitement for this movie, and goes to watch it.*

 *yes....YES PURE GENIUS!!!!!! wait how long has it been?........well poop....* Okay so this movie was what introduced me to Studio Ghibli and its about a girl named Chihiro who wanders into a theme park or resort for mystical beings, this leads to here being trapped there where she must figure out to free herself, and free her parents who have been turned into pigs. *realizes that it wasn't enough to give away whole movie, proudly shakes head in amusement* Okay and you'll have to figure out the rest. but this is only the first of my top three, want more suggestions....you'll have to wait and as always I'll see you on the flip side.

Right Quick: Space Jams and Yeezy 350 boost

Lemme get this post in right quick *ba dum tss*.......... nothing? Ya know what forget (voice crack ensues) you man!!!!! *really that had to happen right now* okay any ways lets get toooooooo it. *I'm gonna say "Yakum" once in this guaranteed*

Alright so first thing on the agenda *checks hand to see what I wrote* uhhhhhh its a little smudged but I see space.......oh....OH THE SPACE JAMS!!!!! That's what it was, alright so this past Saturday, possibly the most known shoe among the general public, the Jordan 11 space jams re-released. Now kids if you don't know your sneaker history let me enlighten you, so the year is 1996 and hence possibly the greatest basketball movie of all time is created........Space Jam. To sum it up, Michael Jordan a.k.a Air Jordan, The G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Time), and whatever other nicknames that man has teamed up with the Looney Toons gang to beat aliens. *realizes how bad that description is* anyways so this shoe was named this after the movie and has made it into the hearts of every sneaker lover out there as one of the greatest shoes ever.......Oh my opinion? okay so lemme tell you these babies is the knees of the bees man. So if you able to get them for retail pick them up ASAP you gonna be getting those head turns left and right son.

in the immortal words of Jay Z "On to next, on to the next one...." okay so from Jay Z to Kanye West *why am I talking about Kanye, the man is blonde now why Kanye......WHY!!!!!!*we got the Yeezy 350 boost in the black and white color scheme or "core white/core black" if y'all wanna get official with this stuff. *realizes I still can't afford this stuff. more tears and more tears* okay so these hype-beast shoes, wait y'all don't know what a "hype-beast" is? *Man I've changed from a nerd to i don't even to call myself anymore.......oh wait I know a gentleman, smooth Josh smooth* So a "hype-beast" is a person who is always on the hottest trends, basically a follower not a leader. Personally y'all want my opinion, these shoes are all hype and no fire, no flames, no fuego son so back on up outta here okay? Chenzo's weekend: Nov 26 -Nov. 27

*Walks toward computer, puts on headphones to listen to music plays Jewish reggae, yes you've read this right Jewish reggae* Okay so back at it again with the post series.......I swear I hate that video so much, and I will never wear a pair of white vans ever and I mean ever, never will buy a pair. okay any whoosies, lets see what happened this good ol' weekend. *thinks over what happened, light bulb pops up over head and slams hands on desk in genius as epiphany occurs* USC won again YAKUM BOI!!!!!!!!!!! *realizes the Seahawks lost, drops head in sorrow* (mumbles) and the Seahawks played........yeah that happened.*quietly sobs as walking to corner* (still sobbing quietly.....like a man) lets get.......just get to the intro!!!! Let's get tooooooooo it.

Alright so the University of Southern California man you know my passion for this school if you actually read my post from last week, *thinks of the tens of people who read it*  ........oh man I'm still supposed to be writing a blog. So yes USC for me is "the dream" and you know my opinion on the football team too, SO it should come as no surprise to you that we are on an 8 game win streak after winning this weekend, and lets just say WE ARE ON FIRE SON!!!!!!

As for the Seahawks.......*Says in depression, you could say crippling depression* well it wasn't an easy week, it's not that the game was a blow out or anything, it was a close game it just wasn't the outcome that I was expecting. So......there's a team in the state of Florida that plays in the city of Tampa, ya know sounds normal for the most part except they can be seen as a below average team........why am I being so nice.....ugh okay JUST KNOW THAT I AM OVER THE GAME IF I WERE WRITING THIS THE DAY AFTER MY DESCRIPTION OF THE TEAM WOUlLD BE VERY..........colorful. *Calm yourself Josh you can do this* okay, so yeah anyways you would be expecting me to say "YAKUM!!!!!!" right yeah I know that word deserves better..... but the final of the game was 14-5. *says in complete and utter depression* okay well lets wrap this up before anymore tragedy happens, *looks at phone sees that the Raptors beat the Bucks* LEGO MY EGGO YAKUM GIMME THEM W'S SON!!!!!
